Quick answer: Range Break indices move sideways inside a price range and then break out to a new level. In our data Range Break 200 was the calmer of the two. In 600 real 1-minute candles, the usual candle covered 10 points, but the biggest covered 216 points (RB100) and 286 points (RB200). On 20 October 2026 Deriv offered multipliers only on these indices.

Trading Range Break With Multipliers

  1. Mark the current range: the recent high and low where price keeps turning.
  2. Inside the range, do nothing or trade small. A breakout can come at any time.
  3. If you trade a breakout, enter only after price closes outside the range, with a stop loss back inside the range.
  4. Use a take profit; a new range often forms soon after the break.
  5. Keep a full stop-out at 1–2% of your balance.
Gap risk: A breakout can jump past your stop loss in one move, so the real loss can be bigger than planned. Use a small multiplier and small stake.
