How to Create a Deriv Bot Step by Step: Trade Parameters, Purchase Conditions and Restart Rules
Quick answer: In Deriv Bot’s Bot Builder, every bot is built from four main blocks: (1) Trade parameters (market, trade type, duration, stake), (2) Purchase conditions (when and what to buy), (3) Sell conditions (optional early sell), and (4) Restart trading conditions (what to do after each trade, including stop rules). Add a take-profit and stop-loss, save the bot as an XML file, and run it on a demo account first.

Step 1: Open Bot Builder

Log in, switch to your demo account and open Deriv Bot (or Bot Builder in the H-BOT app). Start from a blank workspace or a quick strategy.

Step 2: Trade Parameters

SettingExample
MarketDerived → Continuous indices → Volatility 100 Index
Trade typeUp/Down → Rise/Fall
Contract typeBoth (lets the bot choose)
Candle interval1 minute
Duration5 ticks
Stake1% of balance, e.g. $1

Step 3: Purchase Conditions

Tell the bot what to buy and when. The simplest: always buy Rise. Better: buy Rise only when a condition is true, such as the last tick being higher than the one before, or a moving average rising. Logic blocks (if/else) and indicator blocks make this possible.

Step 4: Sell Conditions (Optional)

For contracts that can be sold early, you can sell when profit reaches a target. Many tick contracts are simply left to expire.

Step 5: Restart Trading Conditions and Limits

  1. Read the result of the last trade (win or loss, profit).
  2. Add it to a running total profit variable.
  3. If total profit ≥ take-profit, stop. If total profit ≤ −stop-loss, stop.
  4. Otherwise trade again.
Keep martingale off at first: build and test with a fixed stake. Add a capped multiplier only after you understand the risk; see the martingale guide.

Step 6: Save, Test and Review

Risk warning: Trading Deriv products such as digit options, multipliers and synthetic indices is high-risk. You can lose all the money you deposit, quickly. No bot, signal or strategy can guarantee profit, and past results do not predict future results. Practise on a demo account first, only trade money you can afford to lose, and check that Deriv is allowed where you live. This guide is education, not financial advice.
