How to Open a Deriv MT5 Account, Log In and Place Your First Trade

Quick answer: Create your MT5 account inside Deriv’s Trader’s Hub, choose the account type (for synthetic indices or financial markets), and set an MT5 password. Deriv then shows your MT5 login number and server name. Enter them in the MetaTrader 5 app, transfer funds from your Deriv account, and start on demo.

Step by Step

  1. Log in to Deriv and open Trader’s Hub.
  2. Choose Demo or Real, then add an MT5 account of the type you need.
  3. Set an MT5 password (different from your Deriv password).
  4. Copy the login number and server name Deriv shows.
  5. Install MetaTrader 5, choose "Login to an existing account", search the server name and enter login and password.
  6. For real accounts, transfer funds from your Deriv account to MT5 in the Cashier.
